FROM THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY
The first quarter of 2008 has come and gone. As your Lodge Secretary, I continue to try and do the best I can to assist you in Lodge matters. That first matter was the mailing of letters on January 1, 2008 explaining some of the accomplishments achieved by your Lodge over the year 2007. The letter also served as a dues notice for many of our members who are not able to be payroll deducted. I am happy to report that most every billed member has paid his or her dues.
One of the things I try to encourage members to do is to be sure that they have updated their addresses and beneficiary information. A lot of things happen in the course of a year. People move and forget to let us know and people separate or die, in which case their beneficiary for the insurance policy covering our member needs to be updated. Reading this, you are already half way to ensuring an update. Go to the beneficiary section of our website, fill out the form completely, download it and mail it to me:

Thinking about a wedding anniversary, a wedding reception, retirement party, birthday party or just some place for the family to gather for a reunion? Consider the Lodge main hall or even our annex. Rentals for members are a sight less expensive that some other places in town. Give our Lodge Rental Manager a call and discuss the possibilities. Call Sister Bobbie Lovell at (706) 681-8199 or (706) 561-9665.
As usual, if I can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to call on me. My cell phone number is 1-706-578-0505 or e-mail me at bigbill203@juno.com.
